Leading accountants and business advisors French Duncan LLP are expanding the services provided in their Edinburgh office following a £250,000 office refurbishment. This follows the recent 50% expansion of the firms’ Glasgow office to 20,000 sq. ft. and highlights their continued commitment to substantial growth in the next five years where they plan to increase staffing levels by 40%.

The 117-year-old firm’s Edinburgh office is led by renowned insolvency expert Eileen Blackburn supported by Tax partner Barry Laurie. The tax team has also expanded with Stephen Oates, director of tax across the firm and now a key part of the corporate and personal tax service supported by assistant manager Jen Kinnear.

The firm has recently hired Andrew Reynolds, Chartered Financial Planner to head up the wealth management team in Edinburgh. Marc Vosilius, Senior Manager, is moving from Corporate Advisory to lead the Entrepreneurial Services team in Edinburgh whilst Gregor Steedman continues in the same Corporate Advisory department. Graeme Davies, the newly appointed Marketing Director is also based from the expanded Edinburgh offices.

Eileen Blackburn, Head of the Edinburgh office, commented: “The firm is growing across Scotland and our Edinburgh office has long been a key part of this development. Ensuring that our clients have the best staff available providing the best service is at the core of French Duncan. The Edinburgh office is an integral part of the expansion of the firm and these appointments indicate our commitment to growing this office along with the rest of the firm.”

Graeme Finnie, managing partner of French Duncan, explained: “There can be little doubt that accountancy, like all businesses, is currently facing a transformation due to technological innovation. Our current investment in people, in technology and in space highlights our ambition to lead the accountancy sector by expanding our services and capabilities to encompass and deliver on the growing demands from clients and from the business community.”
