French Duncan steps up to the plate to sponsor Let’s Eat Glasgow!
20 August 2015
French Duncan, the leading accountancy practice with an insatiable appetite for innovation, has stepped up to the plate as a community sponsor of Let’s Eat Glasgow!, a festival that will see the city’s top chefs and food and drink producers come together to host Scotland’s first restaurant festival and pop-up market in Finnieston on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September.
The sponsorship deal will see the Finnieston-based firm donate meal tickets to Moogety Food Co-operative, an initiative in Glasgow’s Govan area that provides below market price fruit & vegetables to the community. Moogety Food Co-operative will be hosting a stall at the Let’s Eat event.
French Duncan Managing Partner, Graeme Finnie, said: “Having recently relocated our Glasgow office to Finnieston, and experienced first-hand the many culinary delights on our doorstep, we are delighted to play a part in helping support this enterprising initiative within our local community.
“As a member of Scotland Food & Drink, with which we recently published our funding guide to assist food and drink industry business owners understand the various types of finance available to them and help decide what type of finance might be best suited to their business, it is entirely fitting that we step up to the plate to sponsor Let’s Eat Glasgow!
“At French Duncan, we place a distinct emphasis on innovation and customer service so we are particularly delighted to play a part in Scotland’s first restaurant festival and pop-up market in this year of Food and Drink Scotland, the Scottish Government initiative which aims to spotlight, celebrate and promote Scotland’s natural larder.”
Let’s Eat Glasgow! is the first event staged by Real Food, Real Folk, a new co-operative uniting chefs with a passion for promoting the city’s increasingly lively and diverse food scene.
French Duncan is one of the most progressive accountancy practices in Scotland with 18 partners, a fee income of £10 million, nearly 200 employees and a network of offices spanning Scotland’s Central Belt.
