We are pleased to announce that the first winner of a £25.00 Love to Shop voucher is Ross McLellan from Rockfield Capital, who guessed correctly that the Australian Open would be won by Novak Djokovic. The next question is which film will win best film at the Oscars, look out for the answer on Monday 23rd February.
Antonia Harrow from Crieff Hydro is the winner for our February Love to Shop voucher, having correctly guessed that Birdman would win Best Film at The Oscars. Well done Antonia! The question for March is who will win the Six Nations Rugby.
Toby Hamilton from Tunbridge Wells won our March Love to Shop voucher for correctly guessing that Ireland would win the Six Nations. Well done Toby!
So far in the competition we only have one entrant that has had all three questions right so far - that could all change in April depending on who wins the US Masters!
The winner of our April Love to Shop voicher is Erin Murdoch from Glasgow, who was one of only three people that correctly guessed that Jordan Spieth would win the Masters. Our next question is who will win the general election in May.
John Burns from Samuel Burns & Co in Prestonpans is the winner of our May question, for guessing correctly that the Conservative party would win the general election. The next question is who will win the football between Scotland and Republic of Ireland in June.
This month we have a winner from French Duncan - our very own Graeme Smith from our Corporate Finance team correctly guessed that Scotland and Ireland would have a 1 each draw on Saturday 13th June. Well done Graeme!
Mid year update
We currently have four people that have four questions out of six correct so fa,r so it's close! Of course there are still six to go so that could all change - watch this space!
It's second time lucky for our July winner - Ross McLellan from Rockfield Capital was also the January winner! Ross was the only person to correctly guess that the exchange rate on 1st July would be 1.41 euros to the pound. Well done Ross! Ross's victory means that there are now five people in the competition that have got four answers out of a possible seven correct so far.
Daniel McCluskey from Glasgow was the lucky winner of our August question, which was 'what was the hottest temperature in the UK during the month of August'. Daniel guessed 31.4C and the correct answer was 30.9C so not far off! Well done Daniel.
The question for September was 'What will the average rainfall be in the UK for the month of September?'. The answer was 70mm, and the closest guess was by Jamie Settle from West Yorkshire, who said 75.82mm. Well done Jamie!
Craig Allison from the French Duncan Business Recovery team was the lucky winner of the October question, which was 'Who will win the rugby world cup'. The answer of course was New Zealand, which lots of people got right so we picked the winner out of a hat. Well done Craig.
It was another French Duncan staff member that won the voucher in November, for correctly guessing that Nico Rosberg would win the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Well done to Michael Reid from our Glasgow office.
